ISLAND OF MURTER

The island of Murter belongs to the North Dalmatian group of islands, which contains almost 40% of all Croatian islands. The Murter island is an smaller island between Zadar and Sibenik it has only 12km long and 2km wide. The nearest airports are located in Split and Zadar. You can see here  three beautiful marinas on the island, as well as enjoy swimming and relaxing on sandy and rocky beaches with crystal clear water. 

It is possible to take a tour around the island by bicycle. The most beautiful is sandy beach Slanica. There are four towns located on the island: Murter, Jezera, Tisno and Betina. There is also a large number of small bays hidden from view and far away from the heat of larger beaches.

Most part of the island is covered with typical Mediterranean plants and trees; age- old olive trees and fig-trees. They are the main traditional crops grown by the inhabitants. The Murter's harbors - Jezera, Betina, Murter, Tisno, are the most important nautical bases of the Adriatic Sea. If you are looking for quiet and friendly atmosphere you can find it here on Murter island. Several restaurants and several festivals are offered to the tourists.
